W4CHR Repeater:
The Chester Amateur Radio Club owns and operates the W4CHR 2 meter repeater. The W4CHR repeater is a Kenwood, it puts out 20 Watts, antenna is at 145ft, has a frequency of 145.310 MHz, - offset and a PL tone of 167.9. It is located near the Chester Regional Hospital. Coverage includes Chester County and most of all the surrounding Lancaster, Fairfield, Union and York Counties.
KW4BET Repeater:
The KW4BET 440 repeater has a frequency of 442.475 MHz, + offset and a PL tone of 162.2. Repeater is a Kenwood, it puts out 100 Watts, antenna is at 195ft. It is located in Chester, SC near the Chester Reginal Hospital. It has Echolink KW4BET-R and Allstar node # 442475 connected full time to KW4BET System HUB 474346 witch also is linked full time to the (KG4NWE) Multi Mode Reflector XLX056 SCmidlands.network. Chester 675 WQXE747 ( GMRS ) Repeater:
The WQXE747 GMRS repeater has a frequency of 462.675 MHz, + offset and a PL tone of 136.5. Repeater is a Kenwood, it puts out 50 Watts, antenna is at 195ft. It is located in Chester, SC near the Chester Reginal Hospital. The K4USC repeater in Union, SC can be accessed by EchoLink KW4BET-L node #736797.
The KW4BET repeater in Chester, SC can be accessed by EchoLink KW4BET-R node #442475, and is connected full time to KW4BET System HUB 474346.
WINLINK:
The KG4NWE-10 ( VARA FM Wide ) WinLink gateway repeater has a frequency of 145.580 MHz, no tone. It is available for WinLink Global Radio Email ( VARA FM ) traffic. Repeater is a Kenwood, antenna is omni directional and is located near the Chester Regional Hospital ( Gridsquare: EM94JQ ). Coverage includes Chester County.

DMR Repeater:
The WR4SC repeater is a DMR repeater and is part of the SCHEART DMR Network. It has the PRN Network, Local talkgroup, SC Call, PRN Chat 1 & 2 and Parrot / Echotest. The DMR repeater is a Motorola; it puts out 40 Watts, transmits on 440.5750 MHz and receives on 445.5750 MHz with a color code 1. Please see the SCHEART.US website and NCPRN.net website for more info. It is located near the Chester High School. Repeater has a great coverage area with an HT.
Homebrew Hotspots: ( DMR, D-Star & Fusion )
Also, many of the club members have Homebrew Hotspots to access the DMR, D-Star and Fusion networks (DMR Brandmeister, MMDVM, Wires-X and Dstar). Popular talkgroups are Midlands BM #31458, (KG4NWE) SCMidlands.Network / Multi-mode Reflector XLX056A, Charlotte digital group reflector XLX 054 and the constellation XLX313. Multi-mode Reflector can also be accessed by Allstar node # 474343 and the KW4BET 440 repeater.
Allstar:
During net time Allstar is available node # 474346 which is connected to the KW4BET repeater full time. More to come on Allstar on the W4CHR and K4USC repeaters in the near future.
APRS:
Chester has 2 DigiGates KW4BET-01 & KW4BET-02 on APRS. Both are Microsat WX3in1 PLus 2.0 APRS, transceivers are a Kenwood, they put out 25 Watts and operates on 2 meters APRS Frequency 144.390 MHz. KW4BET-01 is located in Lewis Turnout near Lewis Fire Department. KW4BET-02 is located in Chester near the Chester County Hospital.
NETS:
Tuesday and Thursday nights at 1930 (7:30 PM EST) "GSPSkywarn" Net on the KW4BET repeater. The KW4BET repeater is a member of the GSPSkywarn GSPSkywarn.org and WARNS System WARNSystem.org. Repeater gives the time and temp on the top and bottom of each hour, gives weather updates when issued by the National Weather Service and is linked to the WARNS System in the event of storm activity.
Wednesday nights at 2030 (8:30 PM EST) "The Piedmont Link" The Union Amateur Radio Club K4USC, Carolina Amateur Radio Emergence Service WX4SC, Chester Amateur Radio Emergence Service W4CHR and FleetTalk Amateur Radio Group W4FTK link repeaters for "The Piedmont Link". Net is called on the Chester W4CHR repeater 145.310 MHz, - negative offset, PL tone 167.9 and the Lewis KW4BET repeater 442.475 MHz, + offset, tone 162.2 and the FleetTalk Repeaters W4FTK. Please check out FleetTalk W4FTK webstie at w4ftk.com for more info on their repeaters. If you are out of range and would like to check in, EchoLink W4CHR-R, or KW4BET-R are available to access repeaters during the net. Allstar is also available node # 474346. Net last about 30 minutes, net calls for check-ins, announcements, has rag-chew, sell / swap / trade / looking for (ham equipment only) and topic question. Net has great coverage with repeaters linked and even greater coverage with Echolink and Allstar. Some of the most mile check-ins has been VK2GH-Adrian from Australia and KE4KZG - Steve “Japan”).
